To promote practical training, a full paper of the 6th Semester is dedicated to Moot Courts. Students must participate in moot courts and court visits, which are compulsory. The university also has a separate Moot Court Hall where various Seminars, Presentations, and competitions are held annually.
The campus is massive, covering almost 550 acres. They have infrastructural facilities like Shopping Centre, Health Centre, Bank, Post office, Swimming Pool, Gymnasium, Sports Grounds, Botanical Gardens, well-maintained parks, Open Air Theatre, Guest Houses, Faculty House, Seminar Complexes, Alumni House, Community Centre and hostels for girls and boys.
Punjab University has a library called A.C.Joshi Library, which has more than eight lakh publications, including books, journals, thesis, rare books, reports, government documents, newspapers, and a prized collection of 1429 manuscripts.
The Department of Laws publishes a half-yearly Panjab University Law Review. The review contains research papers/articles/book reviews/case comments. This platform allows academicians, students, and professionals to express their views about various dimensions of Law.
College Infrastructure
The college is known for its supportive and helpful facilities, which are also available on campus. The boy's hostel is situated outside of the campus. A huge canteen you can find here. You may have healthy food at a minimum price.

The university has a Legal Aid Clinic-cum -Arbitration Centre, which also functions as the Placement Cell. The students must undergo internships annually and are sent to the Supreme Court of India/ Parliament for practical training programs.
The university is the alma mater of various Chief Justices of India, Chief Justices of High Courts, members of Subordinate Judiciary, Law Officers, etc. Former Chief Justice of India, Hon'ble Mr. Justice J.S. Khehar, has also been a proud alumnus.
PU-LLB program students are not assured of receiving a high-paying job at good law firms. The placement cell is not very active.
You can take advantage of events like MUN, Moot Courts, and Trial Advocacy to build your personality during your college years. You must find your "Godfather" who can help you practice in court. You can also aim for the Judiciary Exam as you have sufficient time for preparation.
